  • Tom's post may be racist and inflammatory, but it simply shows that he is uninformed. Just because you don't see the moderate Muslims on the street doesn't mean that they don't exist. Every time that this is something I'm for or against, I don't get up and march in the street.

  • Maybe the issue isn't the use of alcohol, but the lessons we teach our children. Where I come from, firearms are part of growing up. I learned how to shoot when I was very young. As part of learning how to shoot, gun safety was very important.

  • I don't see how the best solution to protect young people is to lock them away after 9 p.m. Wouldn't stopping crime and prevent this kinds of events be a better use of police resources than to scour the streets and detain innocent kids?

  • Well, thats the point Kurt, you have to point out to everyone that you are not deleting them. It carries a threat in it. When you threaten people who share their views, you are not exaclty respecting them.

  • Sandra, I said that because that is what I have seen in the past. I've seen things swept under the rug and the people who discovered the issues have been told to shut up and keep quiet or face penalties. It is the sad truth of human nature.

  • I have to agree with Kurt der Mench, this society is sexist against men with it comes to parenthood. Many times I have thought what would happen to my daughter if me and my wife broke up.

  • I'm not sure that common sense has ever been common. I think the level and definition of what is thought to be common sense is constantly changing. One thing I think is on the decline is education, not on the formal sense, but in the moral sense.
